VFP PITCH EVENTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in any virtual pitch event (“Event”) hosted by Vetted Film Pros (“VFP”). By attending or participating in an Event, all users (“Participants”) agree to the following:

1. Educational and Networking Purpose Only
VFP hosts pitch events strictly for educational and networking purposes. Participation does not guarantee, imply, or constitute a deal, option, representation, or endorsement. These events are intended to provide a professional environment for creatives to share their projects with industry guests.

2. No Selection Authority
VFP does not participate in or influence the selection of projects. All decisions regarding interest, feedback, or follow-up from producers or guests are made solely by those third-party individuals. VFP acts solely as a host and does not mediate, negotiate, or facilitate any agreements.

A producer attending any event may select a project to support with development funding provided by Vetted Film Pros as an option. This opportunity is not guaranteed and is at the full discretion of the producer and VFP. Producers are paid for their time and are NOT required to select a script for production.

3. Intellectual Property and Chain of Title
Participants must confirm that they are the sole copyright holder of the submitted work and possess full chain of title. VFP does not accept submissions based on real individuals (living or deceased), biopics, or works adapted from existing IP without proper legal documentation proving the rights have been secured. All submissions must be original fictional narratives or original documentary concepts.

4. Submission Requirements
To be eligible for consideration in any pitch event, participants must meet all of the following criteria:
– The script must be between 90 and 100 pages in length. Scripts under 80 pages or over 100 pages will be automatically rejected.
– A logline and a paragraph-length synopsis must be submitted.
– A pitch deck is optional but encouraged.
– The screenplay must be written in industry-standard format.
– Participants must select no more than one primary genre. A second genre is optional. Scripts with unclear or overly mixed genres will be rejected.
– The declared genre must match the theme of the event. VFP reserves the right to remove any script that does not meet the event's genre requirements.

Vetted Film Pros reserves the right to reject any submission that does not meet the clearly defined eligibility criteria outlined above. Selection of winning projects is determined solely by audience voting and/or third-party producer interest. Vetted Film Pros does not interfere with or override public voting outcomes.

5. Copyright and Plagiarism
Participants must confirm that they own the rights to the scripts they submit (either by WGA registration or U.S. Copyright Office). While copyright registration with the U.S. Copyright Office is not required, it is strongly encouraged. Any script found to be plagiarized, adapted from protected material without legal rights, or otherwise infringing will be rejected and may be removed from the pitch event, even after acceptance.

6. Age Requirement
Participants under the age of 18 may submit only with verifiable parental or legal guardian consent. VFP reserves the right to request documentation confirming such consent before accepting or reviewing the submission.

7. Confidentiality and Conduct
Participants agree to respect the confidentiality of all other participants. Recording of pitches, redistribution of materials, or sharing sensitive project information without explicit permission is strictly prohibited. VFP reserves the right to remove any participant for inappropriate behavior or conduct that disrupts the professional integrity of the event.

8. Discretionary Support
From time to time, VFP may offer discretionary development support or funding to a project chosen by a third-party producer or guest. This support is not guaranteed, advertised, or promised as part of any pitch event, and is offered solely at VFP’s discretion after the event has concluded. The nature and amount of such support may vary and is not subject to negotiation or appeal.

9. Limitation of Liability
VFP is not liable for any outcomes, damages, or disputes that arise from participation in pitch events. All agreements, partnerships, or interactions resulting from these events are entered into at the sole risk and responsibility of the involved parties.

10. Modification
VFP reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued participation in events following any such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
