Frequently Asked Questions
• What is Vetted Film Pros, and who is it for?
Vetted Film Pros is an educational and networking platform built for serious creatives who want to work in film and TV. Whether you're a writer, director, or producer, we help you understand how the business actually works—so you can stop guessing and start building a career. If you've got the creative drive but feel stuck on the industry side, that's exactly why we're here to help.
• How much does it cost to join?
You can join Vetted Film Pros for just $19.99 a month or $119.99 the first year. This deal ends on August 1st when the monthly price returns to the regular $19.99 per month subscription. We also offer an early access deal of $29.99, plus a free mug. That offer also ends August 1st. Subscription covers full access to all courses, script hosting, and pitch events starting August 1st.
• What do I get with my membership?
Your membership includes full access to our film education courses, script hosting platform, and regular pitch events where real industry professionals can discover your work.
• When will the full platform be available?
The full platform launches August 1st. All course content, script hosting, and pitch events will be live and ready then for members to access.
• Are the courses beginner-friendly or more advanced?
They’re built for serious beginners and working creatives alike. Whether you’re self-taught, film-schooled, or somewhere in between, the lessons give you what professionals know but schools often leave out.
• Can I submit my screenplay if I’m not a professional writer?
Yes. Anyone can submit, regardless of professional status. For your protection, we strongly recommend registering your script with the U.S. Copyright Office or the Writers Guild of America. However, this is not required to submit. Vetted Film Pros is not responsible for verifying copyright or chain of title. Any producer interested in your work may require that you prove ownership, and if you do not hold the full rights to your script, it may be rejected from the event—even after acceptance.
• Who can see my script if I upload it?
Only vetted producers, companies, and industry professionals. Scripts are not visible to the general public, and you cannot limit who sees it among that pool.
• Does Vetted Film Pros guarantee that my film will get made?
No platform can guarantee that. What we do is help you develop and package your project at a professional level—so that when the right eyes land on it, you’re providing value and taken seriously.
• Are my ideas protected if I upload them?
Vetted Film Pros is not responsible for issuing copyrights or protecting individual works. Every script should be copyrighted with the U.S. Copyright Office or a comparable government agency before uploading. We do not guarantee protection of script ideas—we simply facilitate the hosting and promotion of scripts for our pitch events. Copyright ownership and legal protection are the sole responsibility of the writer. Any copyright disputes cannot be brought against Vetted Film Pros.
• What happens during a pitch event?
Writers submit a script, pitch deck, and project poster. Vetted Film Pros reviews each submission to ensure it meets our internal standards—like formatting, genre alignment, and overall production readiness. Approved projects are then published on a voting page, where the public (anyone the creator invites) can vote for their top three favorites. Vetted Film Pros does not influence the vote or interfere with the outcome.
• Do I need to be in the U.S. to participate?
Nope. As long as you can upload your script, complete the submission form, and legally register your work, you're welcome to join from anywhere in the world.
• What makes Vetted Film Pros different from other platforms?
We don’t just teach— we transform. VFP is built by professionals who know what the industry looks for. We don’t sell hype. We teach filmmakers how to deliver value so they’re taken seriously.
• How do I access the courses after signing up?
Once you create your account and complete your membership purchase, you’ll be able to log in and access all courses through the dashboard. Everything is hosted directly on the site—no outside links or downloads required.
• Can I get feedback on my script?
Vetted Film Pros does not currently offer script coverage or feedback. Our focus is on providing professional-level education and a platform for visibility. That said, feedback services may be added in the future as a separate offering.
• What happens if my project doesn’t get selected for a pitch event?
If your submission doesn’t meet the criteria or isn’t selected, you’ll be notified and encouraged to refine it for future events. You’re always welcome to keep improving and resubmitting as long as it follows our guidelines.
• Is this just for writers, or can directors and producers join too?
Vetted Film Pros is for any serious creative building a film career—writers, directors, producers, and even actors looking to develop their own content. If you want to learn how the business really works, you’re in the right place.
• What kinds of projects are accepted in pitch events?
We accept original fictional narratives or original documentary concepts. No biopics, adaptations, or scripts based on real individuals or existing IP unless you can prove you’ve secured full rights. Full details are listed in the Terms and Conditions.
• Can I participate if I don’t live in the U.S.?
Yes. As long as you can upload your script and confirm you own the rights, you can participate from anywhere. The platform is fully online and accessible globally.
• Do I need to finish all the courses before I can pitch?
Nope. You can submit to a pitch event as long as your script meets our standards for formatting, length, and overall quality. The courses are here to help you get there, but they’re not a requirement to participate.
